Our Team

Our dedicated team includes Khmer employees who teach and engage with the Khmer community. They have translated critical emergency response materials into Khmer and conducted workshops throughout King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. We also participate in ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions to stay updated on best practices and effective communication strategies.

Our Goal

Our primary goal is to empower the Cambodian community by providing accessible, multilingual resources and training on emergency preparedness. We aim to ensure that community members understand how to prepare their households, respond during emergencies, and manage unexpected situations with confidence.

Impact and Achievements

From February to September 2024, we have made significant strides in enhancing community preparedness. We successfully translated and disseminated emergency preparedness presentations into Khmer and conducted workshops across multiple locations. Through our efforts, we distributed over 4,173 infographic handout materials in Khmer, educating community members on emergency response and preparedness. Our work not only informs but also empowers the Cambodian community, ensuring they are well-prepared and resilient in the face of natural disasters.
