CACCWA focuses on enhancing community preparedness through educational workshops on natural disaster response and preparedness. Our efforts aim to empower the Cambodian community with vital information and practical skills during emergencies.
Key Achievements (February - September 2024):
1. Translation and Education Workshops:
– Translated emergency preparedness presentations into Khmer.
– Conducted workshops at various locations within King, Pierce, and Snohomish County.
2. Community Engagement:
– Attended ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions.
– Distributed over 4,173 infographic handout materials in Khmer.
Feedback and Future Initiatives:
Community feedback emphasized a desire for more interactive training sessions. CACCWA plans to incorporate hands-on emergency response training in future workshops.
